Pink and black is the new orange and black! This year, we put together a unique take on your typical Halloween party theme – we combined scary and pretty. And boy girl, is it ever memorable.
We started by creating a centerpiece for our table from a row of pretty Pink Haunted Houses made with our eco-friendly, recycling craft stickers. All you need are three empty milk cartons and our Pink House stickers to begin building your party table. We repurposed shimmery fabric to give the illusion of a foggy night. We purchased wooden black trees to create a creepy, yet idyllic tree-lined street. From our central theme, we pulled together other elements to make this an unforgettable Halloween. Each guest is greeted with a personalized place setting. We made pumpkin-shaped PBJ sandwiches with celery tops. I bet even my little one would be open to trying celery now.
It wouldn’t be a celebration without a yummy cake. We picked up this beauty at Tammie Coe Cakes – a bakery up the street from our house.
We served up healthy orange snacks. (Sorry, no Cheetos at this party.)
As always, at Box Play for Kids, we like to repurpose recyclables whenever possible. These adorable mummy napkin rings can be made with empty toilet paper rolls, wiggly eyes, some gauze and a dab of glue.
We found pink and white polka dot paper straws and embellished them with miniature spiders. We also found a pretty pink and silver ribbon to trim the tops of the black paper cups. It’s all in the details!
